We are very happy to announce that the Broomlands Community Excavation has been nominated in the Current Archaeology Awards category "Rescue Dig of the Year", after appearing in the magazine in an article written by DR Lynda Howard in CA issue 255.
This is great recognition for the hard work and dedication all the volunteers put into this excavation. The preliminary Broomlands excavation report is available on our UK Projects page
Grampus is currently working on an application to continue working in the area around Papcastle and the Derwent River corridor, following the recent success of the developmental stage excavations in Papcastle. We hope to continue working with the local community carrying out archaeological research in the area for the next 3 years. To register you interest, please contact us.
